Rural Fair Share

Last evening I attended an event with Rural Fair Share. The Rural Fair Share Group is a grouping of parliamentarians who have come together to argue for fairer funding for services across rural England.

Westminster Diary 9th June 2015

The Stadium for Cornwall, health and social care, the A30 upgrade and investment in rail down to Penzance were all topics of discussion with a full set of Cornish MP's today at No 10.

MP's Column

I met with the CEO of South West Water on Thursday. We discussed the need to bring down people's water and waste-water charges further. I think this is realistic and is the right thing to do.


I appreciate the strong feelings that many people have on the issues surrounding the Hunting Act 2004 and I am fully supportive of legislation to ensure the welfare of all animals. I do not, however, believe the Hunting Act has done anything for animal welfare.

Westminster Diary 27 May 2015

Today has been a fascinating and productive day in Westminster.

First, the Queen's Speech setting out what this Government will do during this parliament in particular to encourage aspiration for all.

St John's Hall

As many of you will know Cllr Cornelius Olivier and Derek Thomas met with council officers, the Project Manager and one of the architects on Friday to discuss the concerns raised in relation to the front elevation of St John's Hall.

Free parking at selected car parks on election day

There are 20 minutes of free parking at selected car parks on election day

Selected Cornwall Council run car parks will be setting aside three parking spaces on 07 May for voters to attend their local polling station and cast their vote in the general election.
