UK in Space

Next Tuesday is an important day for the UK Space Sector and science and technology. British Astronaut Tim Peake, will be launched into space to take up a six-month duty on the International Space Station.
Ms Sharman, who became the first British citizen to fly into space has said that after Mr Peake launches from Baikonur Cosmodrome next Tuesday, "there will be many thousands of young people who will decide that science is interesting because we've had a British astronaut flying"
I will be at the British Science Museum on Tuesday (with those pictured) and will be in direct contact with Goonhilly Earth Station who will be opening up their site to a group from Helston Community College to follow live coverage of the launch that will send Tim Peake to the International Space Station.
