Celebrate the autumnal re-opening to dogs of the full two-mile long stretch of beach from Marazion to Penzance by taking part in the Great Western Dog Walk and Fun Dog Show on Saturday, 5th October.
Mr Thomas said: “I have been chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Brain Tumours since 2017 and, having heard evidence from many amazing people about how brain tumours affect their lives and the lives of everyone around them, it is clear that not only is there a need for more research but also for more support for people affected by a brain tumour diagnosis.
“Having organised this event for several years, I know it is always a great day out for people and their dogs - in fact this year should be even more enjoyable as we are introducing a fun dog show ahead of the walk which takes place just a few days after dogs are allowed back on the whole stretch of beach between Marazion and Penzance.”
Registration and free parking is at Folly Field, Marazion, from noon. The fun dog show starts at 1pm and the walk starts at 3pm (http://www.marazion.info/listings/car-parking-folly-field/). Entry fee £6 per adult, to include a pasty and drink at the finish, and a goody bag for every dog. Free return travel is available from Penzance back to Marazion.
Bandanas (for dogs or humans) will also be available on the day for a suggested donation of £2.50 or you can get your bandanas in advance from the Brain Tumour Support website http://www.braintumoursupport.co.uk/online-shop.html
The event is kindly supported by Great Western Railway, St Aubyn Estates and the Rotary Club of Penwith.
