Today the big round table meeting happened with the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport in West Cornwall.
The group included representatives of the Stadium 4 Cornwall, Cornish Pirates, Truro and Penwith College, Truro City Football Club, Cornwall Council, Sport England and the Local Enterprise Partnership. I attended on behalf of the Cornish MPs.
This initial meeting discussed what was being proposed, what barriers exist that threaten the delivery of a stadium for Cornwall and what help the Government can give to ensure things move forward.
There is a realistic chance of getting a multi-sport facility also used to train students in hospitality etc with a capacity of between 6 and 12 thousand people by August 2017.
