“No Deal” new business readiness fund

I recently received the following letter from Andrea Leadsom, Secretary of State for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, outlining a £10m fund available to businesses to help prepare for Brexit. Guidance and an online application form can be accessed here: https://www.gov.uk/brexit-business-grants

Dear Colleagues,

“NO DEAL” NEW BUSINESS READINESS FUND

I am writing to inform you that the Government has launched a new Business Readiness Fund of £10m as part of a package of measures to help business prepare for leaving the EU without a negotiated settlement.
The Fund will enable Business Organisations, Trade Associations, Chartered Institutes and other business membership bodies to apply for funds to drive business preparedness for Brexit by providing advice and practical support to UK-based businesses.

Applications for funding from eligible organisations is now open for projects to provide free guidance, advice packs, webinars and training tailored to the needs of business in a particular sector or location (not just their members). We will also consider applications for other types of practical support, so long as it is clear how the proposed activity can meet effectively an identified need.
All activities must be delivered by 31 October 2019.

Guidance and an online application form can be accessed here:

https://www.gov.uk/brexit-business-grants

I hope you will be able to draw this new Fund to the attention of eligible business groups in your Constituencies.

THE RT HON ANDREA LEADSOM MP

Secretary of State for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy
