Today I returned to Helston Community Hospital to support their Speech and Language Therapy Drop-in session. The work they do to support people following an illness such as a stroke is fantastic and the ladies I was privileged to meet where extremely enthusiastic about their work. Previous to this I attended a meeting with Cornish MP colleagues and Officers from Cornwall Council as part of the ongoing work to improve services in Cornwall.
I used the tips I picked up from Helston Community Hospital to address a large group at a Rotary meeting in the Queens Hotel. The great privilege of this job is meeting so many committed and generous people every day.
