Today in parliament the six Cornish MPs met with the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport and the Sports Minister to continue our drive towards delivering the Stadium for Cornwall.
I also met with the Deputy Leader of the House with a small number of colleagues to discuss how we are going to address the need to improve hospice and palliative care. I then discussed this issue with the Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt and later with George Osborne (who I happened to stand next to in the voting lobby). Earlier today I discussed the issue of funding for Cornwall Hospice Care with Tamsin Thomas (of Cornwall Hospice Care).
Today's main parliamentary business, considered by MPs, was the Government's programme to reform the unions (including measures to ensure that any strike action has the support of union members).
